Danny Elfman is an American composer, record producer, and actor. Elfman is best known for his film scores along with director Tim Burton as well as for being the composer of the iconic main theme for The Simpsons. Danny Elfman composed the score for the 1989 movie Batman, which gained enormous popularity for his timeless representation of the caped crusader. During the production of that film, Elfman met Shirley Walker, who worked as the conductor of the orchestra for that film. Elfman composed the score for the 1992 movie Batman Returns.

Danny Elfman composed the main theme for the Main Intro of Batman: The Animated Series, but due to schedules issues, he wasn't able to compose for the rest of the series. Shirley Walker took his place as the main composer.
