This is background information and production notes of the episode Off Balance, from season one of Batman: The Animated Series.
Production Notes[]
- This episode is an adaptation of the story titled "Into the Den of the Death-Dealers!" first published in Detective Comics #411 in 1971. The story was written by Dennis O'Neil and illustrated by Bob Brown. Certain elements from the original story were modified to make it more friendly with a TV audience, but the episode remains consistent with the story as it chronicles the first meeting between Batman and Talia.
- One of the modified elements of the story is the fact that Talia doesn't mention her father's name as in the comic book. This fact is pointed out in the episode The Demon's Quest Part I, which acts as a sequel to this story.
