This episode is the first episode produced with Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. as Alfred; he would continue in the role until Alfred's final appearance in the Justice League Series finale "Starcrossed".
As opposed to what some sources state, this episode's theme riff isn't used for the Superman: The Animated Series episode "Father's Day".

Bob Hastings, the voice of Commissioner Gordon, voiced two characters on this episode. The first one was the armored car driver and the second one was Joker's unnamed henchman. Hastings wasn't credited for the second voice.
