Wayne Manor

Wayne Manor and the surrounding estate.

Wayne Manor is a large mansion in the hinterland of Gotham City whose official address is 1007 Mountain Drive. Built by long deceased members of the Wayne family, it has been the home of Thomas, MarthaBruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth, and Dick Grayson. The design of the manor was inspired by art deco architecture, and when viewed from the sea, the vaulted frames of the roof resemble the pointed ears of the Batman symbol.

History[]

The estate has long been the ancestral home to the Wayne family. The manor was built on a cliff overlooking the ocean. In addition to being a private home it has also, from time to time, been a centre of activity for Gotham City's elite. Numerous social events, including a fundraiser for Harvey Dent's re-election campaign were held there.

The mansion is a fully equipped home with a kitchen, gym, multiple bedrooms, servants quarters, a full library, vast collections of antiques ranging from firearms to paintings, and even a Ming vase prior to it being accidentally destroyed by Alfred, a multi-car garage and a study which contains the secret entrance to the Batcave. Apart from the secret entrance behind the grandfather clock, the Batcave could also be accessed via an elevator hidden behind a book cabinet. The caverns below the mansion hold the Dark Knight's secret headquarters, the Batcave.

Features[]

  • A home theater with a large TV screen where Bruce and Dick watch movies.[1]
